About Me
Dr. Joseph Chandy is a specialist in Transfusion medicine. He did his MBBS from St.Johns Medical College, Bangalore and subsequently did MD in Transfusion Medicine from Jubilee Mission Medical College, Thrissur, where he was trained in Immunohematology and Patient Blood Management using Point of care viscoelastic testing Rotational Thromboelastometry- ROTEM/TEG). Post MD he has worked as specialist at BMH, Calicut and VPS Lakeshore Hospital, Kochi. He has performed more than 70 apheresis procedures on Spectra Optia apheresis machine of which more than 50 are Therapeutic Plasma Exchanges. He is also trained in Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Collection for autologous/ allogenic Hematopoetic Cell Transplant.
