Our Story

Smita Memorial Hospital and Research Center is a 300 bedded multi-speciality hospital situated in Thodupuzha, Idukki District (Kerala) under the visionary leadership of Dr. Suresh Advani, Padma Bhushan awardee. Dr. Advani & Mrs Geeta Advani lost their daughter “Dr. Smitha” while she was pursuing her MD. The hospital is named after her philosophy of life “Service with Smile”.  We will treat every patient at the hospital with a smile.The highlight of the hospital is we do not have general wards, there are only single rooms. Chairman’s vision is every individual irrespective of their financial abilities deserve the same standard of healthcare services. We have all the most modern amenities including 7 Operation Theatres, 54 Intensive Care Beds, Interventional Cath Lab, Labour Suites, dedicated 24 X 7 Emergency Unit, Endoscopy and ERCP suites, PFT Labs, Day Care Centers, Radiology and Dialysis Unit. Pneumatic Process Flow is incorporated in Labs and Pharmacy Services.
