About Me

Dr. Varkey Sabu Kulangara is a highly accomplished orthopedic surgeon with extensive training and expertise in a range of orthopedic procedures. He earned his MBBS from Government Medical College in Trivandrum, followed by a Master of Surgery (MS) in Orthopedics from Government Medical College in Thrissur. Further enhancing his credentials, Dr. Varkey completed the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Orthopedics and became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) in 2022. He is also a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS RCSEd), showcasing his commitment to excellence in his field.

With a focus on joint replacement surgeries, minimally invasive techniques, sports injuries, and complex trauma management. Dr. Varkey has performed over 2,800 trauma surgeries and more than 150 arthroplasty cases. His proficiency includes knee arthroscopic procedures and intraarticular injections, along with open and closed reduction of fractures. He has assisted in over 4,800 orthopedic surgeries across various specialties, demonstrating his dedication to patient care and surgical excellence.
